There are a lot of questions in this world that cannot be fully explained yet up to this age of modern technology. One of these eternal questions is Does eating chocolate cause acne?. Does chocolate cause acne? For some people the answer would be yes and for some the answer would be no. Based on medical findings and research, eating chocolates would not really cause acne nor would it have any effects on lessening or increasing the spread and growth of an acne. Acne is basically the result when your skin produces excess sebum .
Sebum is oil which is a natural lubricant of the skin that helps to moisturize and protects the skin.
There are oil glands known as the sebaceous glands that are attached to the hair follicles in the skin which can be stimulated by different factors. When these glands are stimulated the excessive oil production would lead to clogging of the skin pores when the skin cells will mature. This would be commonly known as whitehead, blackhead and zits.
So to answer the question Does chocolate cause acne? according to science the answer is no. Although science has proclaimed that eating chocolate would not cause acne, it doesnt mean that you would take this as excuse to binge on chocolates. this would mean that it would always be better if you eat chocolates in moderation.
